Thanks for your reply. I wish this site had more interaction, but hopefully that will change. I was actually surprised that they built a lot of their own parts. I figured that it was a lot like sprint car racing and most was bought off the shelf,…

Mike Hull who is the GM and as most of you know acts as crew chief for Scott Dixon gave the tour. I'm an old sprint car racer from the past so I was obviously interested in the tour and what all they did preparing their cars and getting a sneak peak at the new IRL car. Next time I get over there I need to have Donald Davidson sign the book he wrote a few years ago. And, take pictures to post. Can't believe I forgot my camera.

Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum

Yesterday I got to visit the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum and, if you don't know, they have nearly all of the previous winners of the 500 mile race. Interesting what was missing. The Marmon Wasp was getting new wheels made so it could go around the track later this month. The previous winners from 2007 and 08 were not there because they are still being used by their teams as either back ups or primary cars. Roger Penske loaned out all of his 500 winners for the exhibit, but to be honest I…See More
