I was able to go to the 2009 Jungle Park reunion and had the pleasure of spending the day with Ed Hitze Jr., Donald Davidson and Don & Chris Cumberworth. I would say that there were about 15 cars on display as well as a few vendors selling memorabilia with Ed being one of them along with Ted Knorr who Ed introduced me to. Ted lives in speedway so I hope to stop by his place to see more of his collection.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of getting several photos in the mail from Ed Hitze, Jr. who sent me pictures of my Dad during his hey day. He also sent me some results that he had from his racing program collection. The best one was the time Dad won the AAA midget race at Kokomo besting a number of top notch shoes in some very familiar cars like Leroy Warner in the John Ramp 67.

I was really glad I got to go and if any of you have time next year, I would recommend it.
