Yesterday I got to visit the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum and, if you don't know, they have nearly all of the previous winners of the 500 mile race. Interesting what was missing. The Marmon Wasp was getting new wheels made so it could go around the track later this month. The previous winners from 2007 and 08 were not there because they are still being used by their teams as either back ups or primary cars. Roger Penske loaned out all of his 500 winners for the exhibit, but to be honest I paid more attention to the era that my dad was so fond of, 1940's, '50's and 60's. It was a really nice display and it was nice to see, that on a rainy Friday, they had a good turn out of families enjoying the exhibit as well as taking the grounds tour.
I also made my way up stairs to see their photo archives, where I was pleasantly surprised to see my good friend Donald Davidson. He was looking good and was kind enough to spend some time with my two good buddies, Kyle Drew and Don Hester. Both are big Indy 500 fans, when earlier in the day we played 9 holes of golf at the Brickyard Crossing. Despite the weather, I had a really nice afternoon.

Sounds great, George. Thanks for sharing. That is on my bucket list...even the golf.
